Alpinarc Kennels are located about 45 minutes south west of Sydney in Leppington, NSW, Australia. With views of the city, this undulating 10 acre property is shared with my 3 lovely White Shepherds, Ice, Myah and Tia, little pound scruffer and resident ear cleaner Fergus, 1 mischievous cat Jaffa, and to top off my mini menagerie, a majestic black Thoroughbred stallion called “Bridle Chief,” or Chief for short.
I have owned ‘normal’ coloured shepherds all my life, but have always been fascinated by whites. Six months before I discharged from the Australian Army, I knew it was time to start my ‘search’ for a regal white that I’d longed for since a young child. Three months later I purchased my first White Shepherd Dog in May 2004 from Kyanjuwa Park in Victoria, my boy, Ice. And so began my journey into the world of Whites! He has brought me so much pleasure with his animated personality, intelligence, beautiful temperament and his excellent perfect hip/elbow scores, that I decided to breed him and let his sons and daughters contribute to the breed and touch other family’s hearts, the way he did mine.
My next addition was Tia, a sweet little girl whom I purchased from Whitemist Kennels located not too far from me. She has matured into such a beautiful dog, way beyond my expectations, I thank Pat and Mick Farr for allowing me the pleasure of owning Tia.
And finally, Myah. She was purchased in July 2005. Myah is a foreigner and has come all the way from Surefire Shepherds located in Washington, USA. Myah adjusted well to her new home Down Under, producing some gorgeous puppies for me.
Spook is a boy I kept from my first litter as Alpinarc Kennels. He lives with my father and step-mother on a breath-taking 40 acre property about 30 minutes west of Kempsey.
I have several other dogs, either co-owned or owned by friends of mine, that I manage in regards to breeding, and some that will hopefully be utilised in my own future breeding program. All enquiries are welcome from other White Shepherd breeders should they be interested in any dogs listed on my site.
My aim is to provide loving homes for quality White Shepherd pups, and now only produce one litter at a time, to ensure that each puppy gets individual time spent with it in order to produce babies that are well socialised and exposed to all sorts of situations that occur in your home or out in public, like lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners, stairs, tiles, cats, other dogs and people.
I am dedicated to the preservation, betterment and the recognition of White Shepherds in Australia through positive promotion. I look forward to contributing to this cause with Alpinarc pups, and will be very happy seeing others getting enjoyment out of owning these wonderful dogs.
